On February 4, the 66th Soup Schools Ball in the Stadthalle am Schloss Aschaffenburg .
Around 1,200 guests from politics, business and society are expected to attend.
agilimo supports the event as a partner.
In addition to donations, the proceeds from the charity ball are used to fund the Soup School day care center.
The soup school is the oldest charitable institution in the city of Aschaffenburg and one of the oldest privately-run kindergartens in Germany.
What began as free care for children in need is now a state-approved daycare center with 75 kindergarten and twelve crèche places.
It sees itself as an international institution with a Christian attitude and the high standard of providing the best possible care and early education for its children from many cultural backgrounds.
The board of the association is always concerned about the general conditions such as premises, equipment and educational staff.
Above all, however, it seeks to finance the facility through donations, as subsidies and state grants do not cover the operating costs of a kindergarten year.
Funding comes mainly from donations and income from the “Soup School Ball”, which takes place annually in the Aschaffenburg town hall.
The charity ball was established in 1952 to secure the kindergarten’s existence.
Since then, ball guests have been dancing and donating to the soup school.
Since the 41st ball in 1992, the Soup School Ball has been held in the Stadthalle am Schloss.
