agilimo Consulting GmbH ausgezeichnet als Top Innovator 2022

agilimo receives TOP 100 seal

Competition based on scientific selection process / Awarded by Ranga Yogeshwar in June

Elsenfeld – Outstanding innovation work: agilimo Consulting GmbH from Elsenfeld has impressed as a think tank in the 29th round of the TOP 100 competition.
It has been awarded the TOP 100 seal of approval for 2022.
Only particularly innovative medium-sized companies receive this award.
On June 24, agilimo will also be personally honored for these achievements by the mentor of the competition, science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar.

At the heart of the TOP 100 innovation competition is a scientific selection process that participants have to undergo.
On behalf of compamedia, the organizer of the comparison, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team examined agilimo Consulting GmbH on the basis of more than 100 innovation indicators from five categories: Innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organization, external orientation/open innovation and innovation success.

In principle, the TOP 100 analysis deals with the question of whether a company’s innovations are just random products or whether they are systematically planned and can therefore be repeated in the future.
Particular weight is given to the question of whether and how innovations and product improvements are successful on the market.

agilimo Consulting is one of this year’s top innovators for the first time.
The company is based in the IT sector and has made a name for itself primarily in the field of secure and flexible workplace solutions.

High-end mobility solutions for over 20 years

The origin of this successful development can be found in the founder and Managing Director of agilimo Consulting GmbH, Marcus Heinrich.
He is one of Germany’s leading experts when it comes to mobile solutions for companies.

For the Odenwald native himself, constant further development and innovation was and is never a question of effort or expense.
Rather, he sees both factors as key skills of successful entrepreneurs and their companies.

On the strong foundation of this basic attitude, Heinrich and his team successfully implement forward-looking mobile IT solutions for his customers – always as a technological tool that is geared towards the requirements of the people who use it.
Never the other way around.

Because the specialists at agilimo always strive to adapt technology optimally for people, their solutions systematically and consciously leave the familiar, often well-trodden paths.

After all, Marcus Heinrich knows one thing above all else from decades of project experience:

"If you always do the same thing - such as standard procedures in IT - you will only ever achieve the same standard results and not achieve the optimum."

When faced with daily challenges, the agilimo team therefore tries to think “out of the box” and scrutinize things more closely.
Not to do what seems easiest at first glance, but to implement the best possible solution for the customer.

For Heinrich’s Managing Director colleague Thomas Edelmann, understanding the entire process is a key success factor:

"Even when we look at solutions from new angles or further develop and transfer known possibilities, we never lose sight of the big picture. This mindset is our solution compass."

A closer look at two examples of project work reveals what this looks like in practice.

The “Digital School” project is a prime example of the practical transfer of specialist knowledge .
Early on in 2019, long before the pandemic began, the agilimo team developed the idea of using its professional expertise from large corporate structures for digital teaching in schools.
The motivation was to show how easily the combination of traditional school operations and digital learning can be made possible today; as a model for education 2.0, so to speak.
In a very short space of time, the first “digital class” based on the agilimo principle was created in cooperation with the partner Würth-Leasing in close collaboration with a regional secondary school.
To this day, more and more new digital classes are being successfully added to the “digital school”.

The agilimo principle has also proven itself in tough business environments – a recent example is the rollout for an international food discounter.
The customer’s requirements were more than challenging: the introduction of 2,500 new, fully configured mobile devices for employees in 240 French branches in less than 10 days.
What many would have described as impossible, the Elsenfeld mobility professionals took on as a task.
Thanks to innovative ideas from the interdisciplinary team, the new devices were not only delivered on time, but all security tests were also successfully completed in the same period.
In direct comparison, alternative estimates of implementation times for a conventional rollout with classic project planning were between three and six months.

Marcus Heinrich sums up the formula for new paths:

"Innovation acts as a logical link to healthy change when opening up new opportunities. What we would call development and growth in humans is very similar to the principle applied in IT. Because in the end, it's always about a solution that enables users to grow with it."

Equal opportunities for all company sizes

To ensure that all applicants have an equal chance, the seal is awarded in three size categories: up to 50, 51 to 200 and more than 200 employees.
A total of 436 SMEs applied, 294 of which were successful and are therefore among this year’s TOP 100 (maximum 100 per size category).

“To what extent is a company geared towards innovation? How consistently do its structures pursue this goal? At TOP 100, we examine this,” explains Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, Scientific Director of TOP 100.
“The most innovative SMEs receive the seal. It shows that they are excellently equipped for future challenges.”

There will be a second reason to celebrate on June 24, when the top innovators of 2022 will come together in Frankfurt am Main for the award ceremony at the German SME Summit to receive congratulations from Ranga Yogeshwar.
The science journalist has been mentoring the innovation competition for eleven years.
