Tablets at school

Together with the Rotary Club Schöllkrippen-Kahlgrund, the agilimo team has equipped a class with iPads. This gives the students access to the latest technology for the Design Illustration elective course.

The tablets are secured with a modern unified endpoint management system in order to restrict their use to the relevant apps for teaching. This is an important aspect when considering the use of tablets in schools.

Marcus Heinrich (Managing Director of agilimo Consulting GmbH) was already able to see the use of tablets in Australian schools in 2014 as a delegate of the German G20 YEA delegation in Australia, and recognized even then that this topic still needs time in Germany but is becoming very important.

Thanks to agilimo’s expertise in securely integrating tablets, smartphones and home office systems in companies, supporting schools is a very similar topic and the experience gained from over 1.6 million secure mobile end devices forms the basis for secure introduction in school lessons.

The tablets were donated by the Rotary Club Schöllkrippen-Kahlgrund and will be available to pupils from the 2019/2020 school year.

The supervising teacher Jörg Giegerich is delighted to have another innovative opportunity to work with the students in a practical and future-oriented way.
